a little update

Hello everyone! It's been a while, right? I would sit here and make excuses for myself but the truth is I lost my blogging mojo for a while. This combined with mock exams, a busy social life (I know, poor me) and general laziness, has somehow resulted in no blog posts since August. Yes, AUGUST. Crazy.

Anyway, I'm back and I've got a few ideas for posts lined up so hopefully this place will be looking pretty sharp soonish. And speaking of soon, I hope everyone's getting well and truly in the Christmas spirit. I've already bought my poor dog an elf outfit and eaten all the chocolates off the tree, oops.

I'll leave it here for now and I should hopefully have another post up sometime this week, thank you all for being patient and sticking around. I went to clothes show live today with my textiles class so expect lots of photos and maybe even a cringey video of me doing an interview for the website, if I can get my talons on it that is.

speak to you soon,

coveting this week #2

I've noticed this cardigan on a couple of youtube channels (thepersianbabe, beautycrush) and at first I wasn't so keen. But I can see how versatile it is and you could literally throw this over anything. Perfect cosy cardigan for autumn/winter.

Liz Earle Rose and Lavender Hot Cloth Cleanser

The infamous 'Cleanse and Polish' has been on the blogosphere for years now, and it has remained a staple in most of our skincare routines. I personally received my very first bottle on my 14th birthday (June 2011) and I've never looked back. It's the most effective cleanser I've tried for removing my makeup, and it just makes my skin feel so clean! But now there's a new kid on the block..

Liz Earle has collaborated with The Prince's Trust to bring us a limited edition take on their iconic cleanser. Rose and lavender essential oils have been added to ease you off to sleep and relax you after a stressful day. Even better, £2 from every purchase will automatically be donated to The Prince's Trust Vital Work. So no more guilty shopping!

Here's what Liz says: “Our Special Edition Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser includes the same award-winning concentrated cream formula to remove daily grime and make up to leave skin clear, smooth and exceptionally clean, but with a special twist - a unique blend of rose and lavender essential oils to calm and relax your senses, ideal for use to ensure a good night’s sleep. Perfect partners; use our original Cleanse & Polish in the morning and our Special Edition in the evenings.”

The cleanser will be available from September 2012 and will cost £18.25.

will you be trying the new 'Cleanse and Polish'?

take off your colours

camo jacket - army and navy website / crop top - topshop  / skirt - h&m / shoes - converse / belt - x-chainstore (originally topshop) / bag - primark

Here's a few snaps of one of my holiday outfits. Sorry for my absence, I've been enjoying the last weeks of my summer before exams and chaos commence. I went to Yorkshire for a week with my best bud Emily and her family recently, and the week after we took her away to Wales for a week. Nothing exotic but I went to Greece for a week in June so I can't complain (although I am looking really pale here, so I'll complain about that instead!). Anyway I'm glad to be back and hopefully blogging on a regular basis. Hope everyone's well!

coveting this week #1

I noticed these in store the other day and could instantly see myself wearing them, they're the type of jeans that would go with anything and everything and could be styled up or down.

dropping in

hoodie - american apparel / jumper and leggings - topshop / shoes - office / glasses and bag - primark
ring (l-r) - inherited / river island / small shop in wales / penny slots machine! / urban outfitters

So this is my first post on this blog, exiting stuff! I suppose I'd better introduce myself so 'hello' I'm Emily, this is my little blog. I'm 15 and in the middle of my GCSE's, I love tea as clique as it is and I spend the majority of my time procrastinating and listening to Ben Howard. This isn't my first blog so there's a small chance you may recognise me from 'Emily's Musings', but I fancied a fresh start so thank you for joining me here at 'Forever Coveting', (which btw is appropriately named after my ridiculous shopping habits and my ability to stare into an overflowing wardrobe and cry 'I have nothing to wear!') grab a cuppa, have a sit down, and I hope you enjoy your stay.

I thought I'd start out with an outfit post as the weather is finally looking up in England, although these photos were actually taken during our previous heat wave (think it was march time, seems like years ago...), so God knows why I'm wearing a hoodie! I broke up for summer last Friday so the past week has mainly consisted of enjoying the sun and freedom while they last.  These leggings have been a go-to since I picked them up in the sale months ago, they're ridiculously comfy and lightweight so they're perfect for summer.

What's your go-to item of clothing?
